@lampslave what do you think about a new major release ? Below some tasks I think we could do:

• drop pybb deprecated code (there are already "TODO" comments in the code)
• drop test for django 1.9 (but keep 1.8 : it's a LTS)
• add compat and tests for django 1.11 (new LTS)
• update documentation (Update documentation for latest version of Django #260)
• improve tests (Add tests for management commands #271, Add test to check python style #273)
• unread topic view : Show only not readed topics #58
• better signals : [Discussion] Use a custom signal instead of post_save for notifications #54
• notifications fixes and improvement:
  • do not send notification for a "on_moderation" post: New post notifications are sent also for topics where on_moderation = True #249
  • add the possibility to receive only one notification when a topic receive an answer. Future answers won't spam the mailbox until the user go to read the topic.

Could you create a new branch for the 1.0 ? (or a "develop" branch, or you keep master as the develop and you create a 0.18 branch for bugfixes ?)

I think we could release 0.19 now and use master as usual (i.e. as "develop" and as "bugfix" at the same time because all processes are pretty slow).
