To understand my issue it is worth explaining that I have psp files with tens of characters (in any one file) all side by side who are all animated across 8 frames and approx ten layers (limbs, torso, clothing etc).
Presently it is impossible to move or copy a section of an animation without having to move it layer by layer and frame by frame. I got so excited when I saw the option to add image/animation. I knew this would still be fairly poor as I would need to crop the image down to the part of the animation I want to move, save it to a new file, re-open the original file (as crop has no undo), then 'add image/animation' and place the animation where I would like it... I was hopeful... but it doesn't work properly. It appends the animation on to the end of the current frames, so it is only useful if you want to glue to animations together. When I want to add a new character, based on the body of another, I have to copy half of the layers across, layer by layer, frame by frame to the new position. It's sooo painful. We have deep copy... why can't we have the ability to deep paste as well.. at least then we could copy all the layers and only have to worry about doing it for each frame. I assume deep copy simply merges the layers together before putting it in the clipboard, but there must be a way to store each layer's section together in memory.
NB. It only 'works' on my Mac, all attempts on my iPad have just crashed (although it is a fairly complicated and large file to be fair).
Can we also get some documentation? Seriously, like anything on the new complexities of the advances animation set up.
PS. Negativity aside... I am a huge fan, I have wracked up over a million clicks and 700 hours of use so far!! Only solution I am aware that works on iPhones, iPads and Macs across the cloud. I am truly mobile and able to work everywhere!! Thank you!
