Ayaneo Slide / Antec Core HS: analog sticks only reach 50% range in emulated controller

Device: Antec Core HS (rebadged Ayaneo Slide), 8840U
OS: Bazzite
HHD service: hhd.service (running as root)
Physical controller (event19, Microsoft X-Box 360 pad) reports correct ±32767 range for all axes.
HHD virtual controller (event21, Handheld Daemon Controller) only reaches ±16000 range.
Tested with both Xbox and DualSense emulation modes — same result.
In-game effect: character moves at ~50% speed, camera doesn't reach full rotation speed.
