Codex not being detected as an agent on windows terminal through git bash

Is this a reproducible bug?

Current behavior

Launch Herdr session and start a codex agent session -> codex is not being detected in the agent pane.
This works in powershell.

Expected behavior

Codex should be detected in the agent pane and the session navigator.
Claude Code gets detected without any issues. See screenshots

Reproduction

On a windows machine, using git bash through windows terminal, Start a Herdr session and then invoke codex.

Impact

Unable to use agent-state related features for codex agent

thanks for the report. we’re unable to reproduce this with git bash, so we need to compare the live process tree. while codex is running in the affected pane, please share the output of:

herdr pane process-info --pane <pane-id>
herdr pane get <pane-id>
type -a codex

then run this from powershell:

you can redact private paths and arguments, but please preserve executable names and pid/parent-pid relationships. also let us know the exact terminal.default_shell path and how codex was installed.
