Allowing male users to select the "Women-Only" option without any warning or restriction is intentional, as there may be situations where a male user could be part of a women-only ride

• Male drivers are allowed in many women-only public and private travel services.
• To include individuals from the gender spectrum, defined as biologically male

Please do enlighten us on what "Women-Only" means, we've tried reading the User Manual multiple times, yet have not found the definition of it.
Going by the Oxford English Dictionary meaning, it means "Designating a place, event, etc., restricted to women" (link: https://www.oed.com/dictionary/women-only_adj)

Now from the POV of a female, if i was to share a trip at 11:30pm in the night, I would feel safe picking the "Women-Only" feature, but if the "Driver" is a "MALE" (He can of course use a fake female name and not give his credentials), I wouldn't know and well we can maybe guess what could be the outcome of that.
So if our interpretation of "Women-Only" is incorrect, it is entirely because of a lack of information provided from your side.

What I meant was to consider "Women-Only" in the context of ride-share or travel-related software-level feature — not a literal or absolute interpretation. It's about how the platform attempts to create a safer environment by limiting interactions through filters and options, not about guaranteeing complete exclusion of men in every possible situation.

As I’ve already mentioned, creating fake accounts in this project is quite easy due to the lack of a verification system. This is a course-level project, and unlike real-world applications, there's no enforcement mechanism in place to prevent misuse. Even professional systems with proper verification processes aren't 100% foolproof — so it's important not to push too hard on assumptions of guaranteed user authenticity here.

Now, regarding the comment "I'm sure if family or friends are involved, they wouldn't come to use the app." — I’m not sure what makes you so confident in that assumption. It's completely plausible that a male and female colleague using a cab to commute together daily would be open to share a ride with someone else through the platform.

Also, when you say "the above case is for when 'Drivers' aren't travel services," — it’s worth noting that many drivers follow specific and consistent routes at certain times of the day. Think of school van drivers picking up children, or autos and cabs routinely waiting outside colleges for students. These are practical and real-world scenarios that resemble what the app could be used for — routine, trusted, route-specific travel.

In that case, for a "Women-Only" trip with male drivers there should be a separate feature and the ACTUAL "Women-Only" should be a separate feature. Do note that it'll be amazing if you would've mentioned what "Women-Only" means in ANY of your document because it clearly is different from the norm.
