Long story short, I got banned.

In the report they sent they link directly to this github so this project is dead, or at least the public version. I would assume the developer will not be releasing whatever fix he came up with since they will just patch it again.

Funnily enough I spent more time fixing the webcam + mic pass through issue then it would have taken to study the material.

I'm actually surprised that it took this long, given #53 §Future.

I would assume the developer will not be releasing whatever fix he came up with since they will just patch it again.

I came up with a great idea for a fix, but it didn't actually work. If I do ever come up with a fix, I will 100% make it open source and post it publicly here, but given that Respondus is aware of this repository and I haven't attended a school that uses the Lockdown Browser for 4 years, my motivation to work on a fix is rather low.

Yup, it's a lot of work to actually use the tools in this repository, so it's only really useful if you have an ideological basis to not use the Lockdown Browser, not if you just want to use it to cheat.

You had mentioned you got the webcam working, and you're on windows 11. I wasn't able to do this, only on a older canary build of windows 11. Can you tell me what you did to make it work? (I do have a school with lockdown browser, and have been trying to get this to work, and I made some commits here.)

@Voidless7125 Basically sandbox supports camera and microphone use in all of the latest releases I've tried, it just configures the local group policies to block applications from using them. I fixed this by setting up the policies so they explicitly allow camera and microphone use. The way I did this is a bit janky but it works, basically I set up the policies on my host OS, created a backup, and then set up sandbox_run.ps1 to use LPGO.exe to import the backup on the Sandbox. You'll know its worked when a couple logs pop up on the Sandbox desktop.

Best of luck, getting unbanned is a long and arduous process that requires getting your universities academic conduct people involved. It is definitely not something I would recommend risking.

Interesting, thanks! Group Policy is usually just a bunch of registry entries, so it hopefully shouldn't be too hard to add support for this into the current install script (although admittedly, I'm not sure if there's much point).

The patch/link that @thebomb06 posted will solve #90, not #170. So it will make your webcam work in Respondus Monitor, but it won't actually stop you from being detected or banned. It's still super helpful, but I don't think that it will actually help you here.
