I know there are a fair number of microtonal enthusiasts who would use this. I haven't looked into the code base yet but I would probably be willing to contribute this feature. The simplest implementation would be to allow loading .scl files, which are just text lists of note pitches to map on to the MIDI range.
I have written plugins that accomplish microtuning purely through MIDI (basically MPE), so that could be another approach depending on how data is routed from the piano roll to the synth.
