Receiving data in Eplore view, but not in Dashboard

Grafana: 11.6.9
MQTT data source plugin: 1.3.1

I have added the MQTT Datasource in Grafana, and the plugin can connect to my MQTT broker.

In the Explore view I receive MQTT messages just fine, but when I use the Data source in a Table panel on my Dashboad I don't receive any data.

Any ideas?

After some more digging, it seems that the topic name is being replaced by the base64 value of the topic name.

When I put test as topic, and I go to the explore view of the panel, the topic name has changed to dGVzdA.
