We have been get asked about monitoring AIX a few times and it's not obvious how to do this because AIX is not a build target for Alloy and we have no AIX documentation.
Our recommend strategy has been to run the AIX distribution of node_exporter (https://github.com/prometheus/node_exporter/releases) and have Alloy scrape it remotely. We should create a small guide to document our suggested solution.
