[Bug] Antigravity 2.x Installer Hangs on "Connecting to language server" and Chat Fails to Respond #2196

Description

@016HaiderAli

Antigravity Latest Version

Image When I click on the installer of antigravity this is what happens after a few seconds

Step 4 As per the guide in codelab

Image

Step 4 for me

Image Step 4 execution logs showing the language server connection hang.

If I click the next button and agree to the policies, then try writing something to the chat window in the right corner, it will not respond to even a "hi". I tried previously and it was stuck on "hi" for 3 days. I want to try the Antigravity free version before I decide to upgrade it, but I have been so frustrated as I cannot resolve this issue.

Support Request: I really need to get this issue resolved so I can evaluate the software. I would very much appreciate it if a member of the support team or a repository maintainer could contact me in this regard to help troubleshoot further.

💻 System Specifications

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Home 64-bit (Intel Core i5 11th Gen)
  • RAM: 20 GB
  • System Architecture: x64
  • Antigravity Version Tried: Latest Version 2.0.x (and rolled back to verify older iterations)
  • Local Developer Environment: VS Code installed globally

🛡️ Security & Network Environment

  • Antivirus Suite: Windows Defender (Default system configuration)
  • Active Firewall/VPN: Standard home network, no corporate proxy or active VPN tunnels

🔄 Troubleshooting Steps Already Attempted

  1. Performed complete uninstalls and re-installed both current and legacy version binaries.
  2. Manually deleted the cached configuration profiles located inside the %appdata%\Antigravity directory.
  3. Attempted to force-pass setup by clicking the "Next" skip layout, which results in a completely dead and non-responsive AI chat window panel ("stuck on hi").
  4. Modified the execution shortcut target parameters using bypass flags (including --ignore-certificate-errors and --disable-gpu / global config variants) to circumvent local network security blocks, with no change in behavior.
