Overhauling the wiki

Currently, the wiki is kinda messy. Some parts are outdated, everything is all over the place.
Is it just me?

I already did some work here and there like fixing formatting, re-ordering some things to be alphabetical, removing or clarifying outdated things, ...

No, I very much agree and I think it is a good point to raise. I just don't think about this very often because cleaning it up somewhat implies throwing away contributions from other users. Also due to things like issues with the design of existing features, or bugs in 3rd party software (integrations), there are a number of gotchas and limitations associated with configuring lf, and it is a lot of work to document them all.

Another thing to consider is whether or not the wiki should be locked so that only collaborators can edit it. If so then the quality can be maintained, but it will make it harder (and less likely) for other users to contribute. I am fine either way, but note that I do not actually have permissions to change the wiki permissions, only Gokcehan can do that.

I thought about this as well. I am always a little scared of vandalism (did not encounter it so far).
This is a hard one. I am not sure what kind of different permissions Gokcehan can set for the wiki. Completely loosing community contributions would definitely be a loss (e.g. https://github.com/gokcehan/lf/wiki/Ruler#community-themes).

By default, wikis are locked so they can only be edited by collaborators unless it is set otherwise. You can test it by creating a new repo and experimenting with it.

Btw, I use the wiki of my branch to work on the wiki. It will obviously take some time until I can move it over to upstream.
