Let's start releasing process based on v25.1 Release plan !

• Update Release Note
• Create a release branch
• Create new GitHub Release
• Push image to Docker Hub
• Update Redash website ( PR for v25.1 )
• Announcement in discussions

I just tried to update the Release Note based on the PR history below.

$ gh pr list --state merged --search 'merged:>=2025-01-03'

I think following is the command to create the new branch for releasing, based on the comment for v25.1 .

git checkout 25.08.0-dev
git checkout -b v25.8
vim package.json redash/__init__.py pyproject.toml  # set version to 25.8.0
git commit -a -m "25.8.0 release"
git push --set-upstream origin v25.8
gh release create v25.8.0 --target v25.8 --title v25.8.0 --notes "v25.8.0 release"

Now, 25.08.0-dev branch was created, and I think we can use the branch for the new release.

I just updated the release note to include the 3 PRs merged recently.

I just created the v25.8 branch using command like below.

git checkout 25.08.0-dev
git checkout -b v25.8
vim package.json redash/__init__.py pyproject.toml  # set version to 25.8.0
git commit -a -m "25.8.0 release"
git push --set-upstream origin v25.8

I just run the following command to create the GitHub release.

$ gh release create v25.8.0 --target v25.8 --title v25.8.0 --notes "v25.8.0 release"

I just run "Preview" workflow to create Docker Image.

The brand new "redash/redash:25.8.0" docker image was created !
