I have noticed that there are icons missing throughout the tutorial. I have noticed at least one flag and two program icons missing, but it is possible there are more.
🐞 Problem
There are multiple points in the documentation where icons are missing for one reason or another. Some of the ones I noticed:
-
The IntelliJ Idea icon on the main README (I created a pull request to fix this)
-
The flag for the Galego language on the main README
-
The Visual Studio icon in the Visual Studio tutorial
It is possible there are more, but these are the ones I saw immediately.
🎯 Goal
I, like many others, associate different programs/languages more with their icons/flags than their titles. So, having missing icons reduces accessibility and ease of access for people like me.
💡 Possible solutions
The solution is to find new links in WikiMedia for these icons/flags. I recommend having this as a good first issue for people to try out making their first pull requests. Have them make the edit when they find one and create the pull request for the single change. That way, each person is making a small change that matters as their first contribution.
