Problem
The scale option backgrounds are too light. Thumbs (👎 👍) sit on a very light-gray circular background and blend into the card — the buttons are hard to see and feel washed out. Bright-face emoji (😠 🙁 😐 🙂 😍) get away with it because their faces are vivid, but the low contrast is a general issue with the current gray.
Expected
Revisit the gray option background overall so the buttons stand out against the card and the light page. It should hold up for low-contrast glyphs (e.g. thumbs), not just vivid emoji.
