can not pip install laser_encoders

Cannot install fairseq and laser_encoders because these package versions have conflicting dependencies.

The conflict is caused by:
fairseq 0.12.2 depends on omegaconf<2.1
hydra-core 1.0.7 depends on omegaconf<2.1 and >=2.0.5

Hi @liumeihe and thank you for tagging the problem!
Unfortunately, it cannot be solved by modifying laser_encoders: invariably, it depends on fairseq, and calling pip install fairseq>=0.12.2 alone already leads to the same error. Thus, solving the problem requires updating fairseq, but they don't seem to be planning it (see facebookresearch/fairseq#5511).

However, there is a solution to this problem (maybe not satisfactory): to downgrade your pip to a version that was able to tolerate this conflict, namely, pip install pip==24.0. After than, pip install laser_encoders would work alright.
