This is unlikely to be caused by widget itself. It does not use git directly - it only calls the configured AUR helper ( If git is prompting for credentials, it is probably coming from You may also want to try another AUR helper (e.g. |

Hi, it appears that recently, Apdatifier has started requiring some form of git operation to check for updates. As a result, it requests my credentials each time it checks for an update. This is a recent problem that only started happening within the past couple months and I've thus far found no way to disable it.
For context: I use a PGP signature to verify my commits and to link my identity between whatever git services I might want to use. As part of this extra security, it asks for my password occasionally so that it can access the signature.
Is there a way to tell Apdatifier to either not use git and perhaps fall back to whatever it was using before? Or somehow exclude it from requiring my credentials for what I presume is a simple, non-credential-requiring operation to query updates?
I've read around online, but I do not want to enable credential caching whatsoever since it writes to your disk unencrypted. I'd rather keep my password prompt for normal git operations, but somehow tell Apdatifier to not do whatever it's doing to trigger the usage of my credentials.
Any help would be appreciated!
