As noted here (#190 (comment)):

One caveat: the monochrome SVG is auto-derived from the current komai.svg, which itself is an AI-generated raster image traced into SVG, with no semantic structure. The auto-derivation gives a recognizable symbolic icon (eyes, nose, mouth, ears, face contour) but the line weights are uneven and on the thin side. Hand-redrawing the symbolic icon (and ideally the colorized one too) would improve things, but it isn't something easily automated.

If we'd like to have a better symbolic icon, I suppose manual work will be necessary:

• either on the current komai.svg, so that that auto-generating would produce better results
• or on a new symbolic/monochrome SVG hand-made specifically for this

I suppose one may do some manual tracing on top of the existing SVG and produce a better hand-made result.

I don't have the time to get into this and don't consider it too important (I don't close Komai to tray, nor do I use the monochrome/symbolic icon). But if someone else would like to work on this, that'd be nice.
