Sending file with new Erlang 15B function

I know Yaws already has sendfile for a long time. But should the built-in feature of Erlang be used instead?

The new sendfile code in Erlang/OTP actually originated from the Yaws code.

We already have code on a branch for using file:sendfile under R15B. However, the code does not pass the Yaws tests, so the OTP team is looking into the problems. Once we figure out what's wrong and it passes all tests, we'll merge it to master.

With R15B02, Erlang's file:sendfile works fine, so Yaws uses that by default. For versions prior to R15B02, Yaws still uses its own sendfile driver. Closing this issue.
