Lack of Documentation

I feel hard to understand the documentation (specially the regular expression). Please make the documentation more clear with live example (playground). And also include a demo bot. Thanks

are you having problems with regex specifically? that's not really a BotML specific issue and there are a lot of references on the web.

or do you mean more how the regexes and the script interact together?

agreed that more demos or a playground would be useful, I can imagine the team is working on adding things gradually. Did you have any simple bots that you would like to contribute?
Or a list of questions, I'm thinking a bot "cookbook" could be useful.

As @dcsan just mentioned, regular expressions are well documented around the web.

Along with that we covered a few examples in the current documentation:

We also are working on a botml-ready playground, available here:

It's not production-worthy yet, but still usable for doing some actual testing of scripts on your end :)

I feel the whole documentation is very complicated to understand. It needs more example to understand clearly and need a demo bot and a playground just like the Rivescript. Rivescript has provided clear documentation and demo bot and also a playground which helps us to understand clearly how the bot actually work.

Sorry but just to make it clear that I'm not saying Rivescript is better than botml. This seems to be better than Rivescript but I feel hard to understand the documentation. I feel that all the elements and functions are not explain clearly. There's so many special characters which I dont understand how to use them and what for. Please kindly provide the step by step explanation specially in special characters with an example. e.g. ? ~ --- [list] and many more.
