Search component uses browser's X icon for the clear button

Per Gaëlle, the clear icon of the search field component uses a browser generated icon for the Clear action rather than the Compound icon.

I've investigated this. The X icon is a Webkit-specific ::-webkit-search-cancel-button pseudo-element. Hiding it is easy, but adding a working X icon of our own in its place requires us to turn the Search component into a controlled component, which will be a breaking change. I don't see another way to go about it (dispatching a synthetic change event to clear the field does not get picked up by React), so that's how I'll proceed.
