With the recent push to finalize the General Active Transportation Infrastructure Specification (GATIS), the National Collaboration on Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Accessibility Infrastructure Data (NC-BPAID) is moving from schema definitions to real-world proving.
We know that many contributors have already started testing local data in GATIS. To help others understand how the specification may be used, it is essential to start sharing real-world data.
The Goal
We are encouraging all collaborators to share links to their early GATIS data. Whether you've used and validated a small neighborhood or have a large scale dataset, your work is valuable.
Early adoptions:
- Allow others to learn from examples: see what is possible and how others are working.
- Discover future areas of the specification that may be refined.
- Demonstrate GATIS' scaling potential.
