glitchy audio

Any tips for fixing glitchy audio without any plugins at all buffer sizes?
Also, audio settings reset at start-up

My default mike audio isn't glitchy, but the guitar audio is clippy

clippy or glitch?

clipping means you are driving it too hot (distortion), or the harmonics need oversampling. if glitchy, that might be something else. In short, your description is not very clear!
