Why is the map red in 3dfx mode?

What opengl driver are you using?
I've also seen this when using the Intel driver. Switching to nvideo fixed it for me.

I don't know much about technical stuff but i am using an AMD Driver (AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition) for my AMD graphics card if that helps.

i'd like to ad i was getting this same red in assetto corsa evo due to amd drivers, so probably related

I had this issue too on linux with amd or intel, it would happen randomly, it could be red or blue or don't happen at all, managed to fix on my fork or brender, but the commit isn't clean since I was trying to fix software render for powerpc 64bit big-endian (which in the end I managed tha too) and the issue with cockpit viw on some levels like industrial injury would be all white (which managed to fix too) got splitted on two commits
