[feature request] Embed functionality

Dear developers, we have a small feature request or would like to ask why the embed feature does not work? Our course leaders wish that the wonderful checklist is displayed directly on the course page. Similar to H5P it should be possible to display the content directly. We also found an Embed functionality in the source code, but it seems to have been implemented incorrectly or not completely?

I have a screenshot that show our plan which we would like to have. If the effort is higher than we thought, we can also push the project with a small contract. Would this be in your interest?

This sounds like an interesting idea, but not something I'm likely to look at in my spare time (my days are spent writing Moodle code, so I rarely write code in my spare time any more).

The only embed functionality in the code is support for this plugin: https://github.com/catalyst/moodle-filter_checklist - there has never been an attempt to embed the checklist into the course page, so your analysis that there is something that has been implemented incorrectly or incomplete is wrong; if there had been an intention to support embedding checklists in the course page, then it would only have been released once it worked.

At a guess this would not be a huge amount of work to implement, but, again, I'm unlikely to look at this at any time in the near future.

As an alternative, you could find a developer to complete the work and submit a patch - as long as it meets the Moodle coding guidelines and includes Behat automated test coverage (and doesn't break any of the existing features), I'd be happy to review and merge it.
