In Python >= 3.9, import safe results in

ImportError: cannot import name 'gcd' from 'fractions'

I believe it is related to the math package

Can you provide a bit more information on how you installed safe ?

I installed it with python -m pip install safe-mol
I am using Python 3.9.16

Do you have a full trace ? Knowing where the exception happens could help. As this is likely from some downstream dependencies.

It's very likely that you could also have a corrupted env. Can you try on a fresh conda env with python 3.9.16 to see ?
