Picture displayed with wrong orientation

I have some pictures taken on an iPhone where the orientation is not being respected. Some relevant EXIF data:

File Type                       : JPEG
File Type Extension             : jpg
MIME Type                       : image/jpeg
Exif Byte Order                 : Big-endian (Motorola, MM)
Make                            : Apple
Camera Model Name               : iPhone 11
Orientation                     : Rotate 90 CW

I see this was supposedly fixed in #140 but apparently the fix is not working for the images I have.

I noticed the same even though my image doesn't even have an exif rotation. However, the screen that should display the wallpaper is rotated by 270 degrees. The image is flipped on its head.

Hello @mod20388 and @svenstaro and thank you for the issue. Is this happening for all images or just some in particular? Which compositor are you using?

(Sorry for the late response. Somehow I'm not getting emails from GitHub it seems.)

I'm using Hyprland. From what I can tell it affects only pictures taken with an iPhone (in my case both iPhone 11 and iPhone 15). Other pictures I have with a Samsung phone and a digital camera are not affected. Could it be due to some Apple-specific standard?

P.S. Of course, just to make things fun, not all iPhone photos are affected though, only some... :)

No, that is not the case. I used a Fuji X-T20 and Lightroom for my Wallpapers and I'm still affected.
