Multiple undefined variables/indexes after fresh install

Downloaded your source a few hours ago and re-installed. Still bad. Re-reviewed your README to see if something was missed. Everything is installed correctly.
Also flawlessly upgraded Mediawiki to 1.17.0 from 1.16.5. Still bad (same error in both versions).
Using PhP 5.2.14

Your php error settings are pretty extreme for a production site. Turn off E_NOTICE reporting.
...Monaco was a mess from the start, Wikia built it. I could clean that up, but I don't have the time right now.

Hi, I'm seeing a similar errors. These appear in the left menu above 'Main page', 'Random page' and 'community' options. This is a recent installed update to 1.17.0. (PHP version 5.2.9)

These are all minor php notices, they are not errors, they don't break anything, they're just there for developers when they are developing code as hints to where they may have done something wrong while they are debugging.

Wikia's Monaco was a mess so naturally it wasn't coded in a way that notices were considered.

Just use this in your LocalSettings.php for now to turn off the unnecessary warnings.

I found the cause of the errors.

The above extension when disabled makes the errors disappear. The error_reporting option didn't work. However if you add:

error_reporting( E_ALL );
ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );

to the very top of LocalSettings.php after <?php then the errors are supressed!
