Open question: best planning interface #4

Description

@danphilibin

My favorite loop right now is collaborating on plans in Linear because of the Markdown editor... but:

  • Not feasible to use Linear on every project
  • Slow (network calls) + uses up lots of tokens
  • Nice alignment on docs :: tickets with easy off-ramps to sub-tasks

Iterating in a Markdown file would probably be fine, but that also has issues:

  • Markdown files get checked into version control -> files get stuck in branches
  • Graveyard of completed Markdown files
  • Editing plain Markdown in Cursor feels bleh

Need a better system that:

  • Can sync to Linear, but is based on editing local Markdown files
  • Has solutions for the version control + graveyard issues
  • Has a nice editing experience - like Typora?

I think "LLM + human collaborating on Markdown file" is probably the best way to think about this. Dream solution is probably, like, Linear's markdown editor on top of a local folder of Markdown files w/ "archive" support that doesn't get synced to version control.
