Das Pattern das du meinst heißt Gateway. Solltest du anpassen! Load-Balander und Gateway können zwar gerne von der selben Software und ggf. von dem selben Host/Container umgesetzt werden, lösen aber unterschiedliche Problem. Das was du beschreibst ist ein Gatway und ein Load-Balancer sollte sein / wäre bei der ersten Live-Schaltung des MVP overload (mit Kanonen auf Spatzen schießen) sein!
