Using a Amlogic android TV box (Xaomi Mi TV Box S 3rd gen) the interface was quite slow to move around in, when switching to the classic UI I found that performance improved but I was missing new features.
Locally, I attempted to configure app optimization for this project and was able to get a working build (after some help from Claude to design appropriate keep rules).
I found app performance improved significantly and this is worth exploring further.
