valody.py code change required for pandas 3.0.0

Hello. When I ran valody.py I received an error which I believe is due to changes in pandas indexing between version 2 and 3. Using pandas 3.0.3, I'm unable to run valody.py without some small syntax changes (please see "vaoldy_edited.py"). I am wondering if you would consider updating valody.py to be compatible with the currently available version of pandas?
