Hi!
Coming from iOS (and from Android before), there is a feature that I miss a lot is the ability to create events from text in apps.
For example, in the following message:
We organize a party april 22 at 6:00PM, stay connected!
The april 22 at 6:00PM part is clickable and prompts me to create an event at this date.
Same thing applies for these cases:
| Natural text |
Identified date |
| See you tomorrow |
CURRENT DAY + 1, full day |
| Ready for tonight? |
CURRENT DAY, 6:00PM to 7:00PM |
| We'll be ready in 1h |
CURRENT DAY, HOUR+1 to HOUR+2 |
And even more with locations:
| Natural text |
Identified date and location |
| We organize a party april 22 at 6:00PM in Midjourney Street, Paris |
APRIL 22, 6:00PM to 7:00PM, location: Midjourney Street, Paris |
Note: I'm currently testing this on an outdated Android 14 custom ROM. These formats are not natively recognized and for the small amount of date formats that currently work without any app, only the English language seems to be supported. Tell me if newer Android versions already support this (without Google crap of course!)
