I am hoping to draw on the collective wisdom here... What is the most current advice on getting started with Rocket-Chip in 2026.
There appears to be many out of date tutorials, rocket-chip seems like the build system is migrating to Mill(?) and it also appears that rocket-tools has not had a lot of recent updates.
If I wanted to build generate a RTL for a RV64IMC with RoCC Custom Instructions and prototype in FPGA (integrating with other RTL subsystems via AXI bus) with a end view of targeting ASIC. Where do I start?
Do I start with accessing Rocket-Chip from Chipyard, or chipsalliance/rocket-chip ?
Do I use chipsalliance/rocket-tools or build tools from Chipyard? Or something else?
Thanks for any advice or experience you can share.
