The industry as a whole moved to OTEL as the standard way to collect, process and analyze telemetry data. Even Sentry itself supports OTEL data. Since work is being put into migrating to the newer Sentry Saas version, it might be interesting to investigate switching to an OTEL client library instead of the Sentry one and discuss with the Monit and OpenSearch about solution to store and visualize Logs, metrics and Traces.
