Before requesting
What problem does this solve, or what would it add?
This "Feature Request" is a collection of things I noticed while taking a look over the ingame Guide "Scriptura Vitae".
Bugs:
When trying to remove a bookmark for a bookmarked entry, the hover text incorrectly states "Add Bookmark" instead of "Remove Bookmark" (Action still correctly removes the bookmark)
The Spiritus Infusion entry in the Spiritus & Artifice chapter states: "Place any wearable armor, tool, weapon or shield alongside a Spiritus Gem in the Hellfire Forge to infuse it." This statement is not true. Currently, only wearable armor and shields can be infused this way. Swords and pickaxes for example won't be infused.
Side note: I am unaware of a method of removing / upgrading the infused armor piece from a lower tier to a higher tier gem. Is this a (planned) feature?
Inconsistencies
The book sometimes refers to things inconsistently:
Orb of Vitae <-> Blood Orb
Ara Vitae <-> [The] Altar*
Tabulae <-> The Slates*
*Correct, but possibly confusing
Spiritus Page still shows legacy textures for Raw Spiritus (BM Raw Will), while new NV texture is already present
Style
This is a big one:
The structuring of the book, in many parts, acts more confusing than helpful. Arrows overlapping n times, nodes placed nearby with no logical connection (i.e. the 5 horizontal nodes in the last line of the chapter "Alchemy Arrays") and more.
Possibly, it would be beneficial to take a second look at the visual order of nodes and connections of the Scriptura Vitae. A good example (imo) is the chapter "Tabula Vitae".
Dynamic Font Size
I am unsure whether this is a result of "Developing in GUI scale X" and "Viewing in GUI scale Y", but sometimes, the font size becomes very small, already on GUI scale 3.
Is this font scaling necessary? Would it be possible to use one, uniform font size which scales 1:1 with GUI scale?
Enhancements
Some mods add the ability to quick-open the guidebook with a key when hovering over a mod-item. This would be a nice quality of life feature for the future.
Describe the feature
Re-Structuring, Polishing and Correcting the documentation would make interfacing with the mod and its workings more concise, more rounded and less confusing.
Should not be the highest priority, but definitely worth spending some time on.
Alternatives considered
I hope this little collection helps the further development and provides some orientation for future work on the "Scriptura Vitae"
Kindest Regards, PremiumRush
Which Minecraft version is this for?
1.21.1
