Does Thrust works on Windows XP?

I'm trying to use the binaries I get from go-thrust but the code fails and if I try to run the thrust_shell.exe directly I get that it's not a valid Win32 application, any clues?

On Windows 7 32bit I get this:

On windows 7 64bit I get the same as in windows 7 32bit.

I tried downloading the dll as recommended here: http://superuser.com/a/827889 but it made no difference.

I understand that this is probably related with my environment settings and not with Thrust by itself but if you know how to continue I would appreciate any indication.

Looks like you need to install Microsoft's Visual C++ runtime. Not sure if the latest runtime is supported on WinXP, so you may want to download an older version like 2010. Otherwise here is the 2015 runtime.
