Charting Software

Do you happen to know what software might've been used to make the charts for each song? I am interested in using this project as a basis for a rhythm game but I am unsure as to how the charts themselves were made.

A friend of mine made one in osu, and another friend made one in ksm; I wrote basic converters for these formats (plus fixing things up by hand in vscode).
I've since developed an actual chart editor for my actual game, but it's far from release ready.

Btw this project is meant more as a reference for the different algorithms to solve specific problems, rather than as a base to use as-is.
So I hope it can still be useful in that way.
As for implementing your own format and editor, a big thing I learned after a while is that the data should be optimized for easy editing more than anything.
So if you have a curve for example you'd store the individual points with some redundant data, and then you group them together into a curve in memory when it's needed, rather than storing a bigger curve data structure in the chart itself.
