subs_decorator not making valid plans for queueserver

Hello,

I would like to decorate a bluesky plan with a callback via subs_decorator and submit to queueserver but am not having any luck. The baseline_decorator appears to be working. I do not know if any other decorators work, subs_wrapper is not working either. validate_plan seems to fail for all of them but the mode of failure is more specific to the subs_decorated plans.

Would anyone have suggestions on remedies?

count_sb = subs_decorator(count_b, SimpleTestCallback)

I think you mean to use:

count_s = subs_decorator(count)(SimpleTestCallback)
count_sb = subs_decorator(count_b)(SimpleTestCallback)

as the decorator returns a function that expects to be passed a plan not a plan, however if you are not using the @dec syntax, you probably want to use the wrapper variants.

Thank you, the syntax correction helped me sleuth the problem out.

I find using nested decorators to be working with functions...example:

@subs_decorator(SimpleEventCallback)
@baseline_decorator(movables)
def grid_scan(detectors, *args, snake_axes=False, per_step=None, md=None):
yield from wp.grid_scan(detectors, *args, snake_axes=False, per_step=None, md=None)`

where I call grid_scan from a separate file to avoid recursion. Nesting with >2 decorators also seems to work ok. I am currently looking into why this event function displays for stops and starts as well as events, but I haven't checked enough to be sure the other stops and starts aren't really "events".
