Miniextensions not respecting course application deadline

Multiple bug reports show that miniextensions form doesn't show a round for a course when the application deadline is on the day the form is being opened.

You might need to artificially change the deadline for some course.

Hi Josh — I raised this one, and I've dug into it. I'm fairly confident the cause is an Airtable formula.

Where:
the Status field (fldOe4pc4RzL3X0oO) on the Applications Round table (tblt1XjyP5KPoVPfB).
It's a formula field driven by the application deadline (fldXrkZ6Vg8zDh1ZU):

Why it breaks:
on the deadline day, TODAY() and the deadline are equal. IS_BEFORE is strict, so it returns FALSE and Status flips "Future" -> "Active"

Suggested fix — replace:

IS_BEFORE(TODAY(), DATEADD({fldXrkZ6Vg8zDh1ZU}, 0, 'days'))

with:

IS_SAME_OR_BEFORE(TODAY(), {fldXrkZ6Vg8zDh1ZU})

That keeps Status as "Future" for the whole deadline day and flips it the day.

I troubeshoot this problem with the help of Claude code and Devtools for capturing the form request. I checked the solution and I'm confident is right. I hope it helps

Hey @StefanoPisciotta - thanks for following up here, and for diving deep into the underlying issue. Really appreciate you tracking down the root of the problem!

Airtable doesn't have a builtin IS_SAME_OR_BEFORE - or at least not one that I can find in the docs: https://support.airtable.com/docs/formula-field-reference

That said, I understand the intent and think it would be fairly straightforward to implement this ourselves.

I'll do my best to implement the fix before the end of the week.
