In Bitfocus Companion I have a list of AFV events I want to control over Ember+. I have added them in the Edit connection menu as "Paths to parameters to monitor" for ease of programming of actions and triggers. They are events from a Lawo MC236 Audio console. I have them added as following: "Channels.Audio Follows Video.Event 1.State,Channels.Audio Follows Video.Event 2.State,.....etc"
When creating a button or a trigger with an action like "Set Value Integer" I can view them in the list "Select registered path". But if I select them there after creating the action. Nothing happens when I send the action.
When I then check "Path from string" and type manually any text in the box, un-tick "Path from string" and then select the registered path. Then the actions work as expected.
I tested as well in Buttons where I created a workflow with "Set value integer" as the connection action. There I needed to input some text in "Path from string" for me to be able to select registered paths and for the action to not return an error.
But the same does not apply when creating a button for a position. There the "Path from string" Box can be left empty and the action works as expected.
Steps To Reproduce
- Create a connection
- Add a path to "Paths to parameters to monitor"
- Create a button or a trigger
- When creating an action to set value integer/boolean/...
- Select the path from the registered paths dropdown.
- Check Path from string and add any text in in the box
- Un-check Path from string and select a registered path
- Action then works as expected
