Issue with installation?

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the instructions aren't super clear.

Router setup, auto install, everything works fine and reboot.

Try to access 8080, but nothing is there.

Docker setup, install and change ip and time and reboot. Try 8080 and it shows Openwalla in the title, but never loads anything.

Loads http://192.168.1.1:8080/cgi-bin/luci/ and change to a dark blue background.

Tried local setup, but ended with errors at the end.

So, for OpenWRT, which one is correct to use?

are you trying to use docker on your openwrt router?

My setup is docker on Ubuntu, and I run the router setup on my gl.inet router.

Correct, running it on the router, which is basically just a mini pc.

Ahhh, I think I have a nanopi r5s with docker. I might need some time but maybe I can try on that device and see. I believe somebody else tried docker on openwrt and they said it was really CPU intensive.

I've never ran this project on openwrt with docker.

If you have a raspberry pi or even in Ubuntu docker server, try that first :)

Or even try locally on your Mac, You just need to downloaded NPM

Part of why I started with the first option, but then wasn't sure if the others were needed as well. So did automatic router, then docker and then local setup. No other machine that can run this stuff unfortunately.

Didn't realize you also made [netify-sqlite] - the only two data gathering apps I have seen that might actually work for me.

Is this a continuation or do they do different things?

This is the more polished version of what I had in my head. To be honest, the project was made with AI using Lovable.dev. It can easily be imported into lovable and continued on. I just haven't had much time in the last 3 months.

I would like to make use of OpenWRT API to fetch data like DHCP leases, fetch other data but right now the project just scrapes data that I collect on the router and places it on the www folder.

Doing stuff via AI is the only way I've been able to do about anything with openwrt so far.

Maybe I'll have to ask it for directions to get this working, since I still don't understand what went wrong during the install.

You must have had either many more credits or much better luck. I actually tried using the lovable.dev you mentioned and have wasted days and 50 credits and ended up with squat. Great looking preview that doesn't work at all. Why can't openwrt just give us some basic data logging? So silly.
