How to reproduce
I have a bunch of files with text inside the 3d parts, they have not been extruded, they are simply separate components to allow me to assign a specific colour. In the prepare tab, the view is correct, I can see my text inside the parts, I can even see the purge tower, but when I press slice, in the preview, my text is gone as well as the purge tower, it's all the same colour.
This has been a difficult bug to chase because it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, and I don't know what makes it behave this way. What I do know is the following. If I extrude outside my text, the file slices correctly. But I don't want that because I need the text to be face down on the built plate.
So I discovered a workaround a while back. If I change my text type to negative part in Bambu, I sliced, then I revert to normal part, then the colour slice is working correctly. This is beyond time-consuming with multiple files and variants. I must do it every time I import.
I made a video on YouTube to better explain this.
