Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
On the sessions tab in RES that is a tab called "Monitoring" saying the following:
Monitoring (Coming Soon)
eVDI Session detailed monitoring needs Metrics and Monitoring module to be enabled.
If Metrics and Monitoring is enabled, metrics collected via CloudWatch or Prometheus will be queried and rendered.
If Metrics and Monitoring is not enabled, default EC2 Instance metrics available from CloudWatch will be rendered.
This is a feature we are keen to make use of to better support our RES users in efficient usage of VDIs.
Describe the solution you'd like
Per eVDI dashboard, showing detail usage of the machine, CPU, GPU, memory, disk, logs, processes using resources, errors etc over time. It should also show the gap between the machine being provisioned and the machine's usage.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Enabling extra metrics on the eVDIs via changes to the AMI to capture the metrics not currently available (memory usage, GPU usage, processes using resources etc) - these metrics would be pushed to CloudWatch and then building custom dashboards using these metrics.
Additional context
We are not keen to spend time on building something that is on the RES roadmap.
