Support format raw8 for Toupcam

Hello,

I have a Touptek G3M678C and wold like to use raw8 with OLS. However, only rgb24 and raw16 are supported.

Normally, rgb24 would be fine for me, however, the rgb format comes with a vertically flipped image (not only in OLS, but in other programs, as well).
So, I would need to switch to raw16 to get a correct image, but this comes with more processing cost.

It would be nice if you could add raw8 to the supported formats. If I understand the code correctly, it hould be enough to just duplicate this line.

Touptek does not support raw8, some other cameras like ZWO or SVBody do, that is why it is not listed

No, because it need also to request the driver to send the data in raw8 format.

Not really, most of the processing inside OLS is anyway done in 32 bit float format to keep best possible signal. So you can safely use raw16.

The use of raw8 is sometimes justified for very high bandwidth planetary imaging when readout speed is critical and raw8 has ~1/2 if the bandwidth of raw16. But it is used to record data not process on the fly like OLS does.

Thanks for the clarification, I will use raw16 then.

However, just for completeness' sake, it looks like Touptek does support raw8, at least in ToupSky, SharpCap, AstroDMx Capture and (probably) also FireCapture
