While working on MSHARED-822 I noticed that this project still has maven.compiler.source and maven.compiler.target on 1.6.

According to the effective POM, this is caused by org.apache.maven:maven-parent:32, line 867. This is still the case in the latest version (33) of that POM. In SNAPSHOT, however, it is Java 7. Can we push Maven Shared Components to 34-SNAPSHOT or should we wait for 34 to be released?

Go for maven-parent 33 and the property <javaVersion>7<javaVersion>

The OsTest only works if the OS class hasn't been loaded yet. To ensure this, add the following to the pom:

  <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
  <artifactId>maven-surefire-plugin</artifactId>
  <configuration>
    <reuseForks>false</reuseForks>
  </configuration>
</plugin>

I think this one can be closed. Maven Shared Utils is on Java 7 now.
