Windows 11 / Linux (AppImage)
The Download server.met and Nodes.dat icon looks bad in Windows and Linux. Maybe removing the black border is enough.
The log reset button is using too much space and it's not used frecuently. IMHO it should be a small button on the bottom or even better, to remove it completely and include this option in the contextual menu. The text "clear log" o "clean log" is better than "reset".
In the Network /Kad section there is unnecessary vertical space. I think the graph should resize to use all the space.
Another problem is the bootstrap buttons looks weird. They need some padding, at least in Linux. If we make the graph resizable, the space between buttons can be huge. I think we should remove the spaces between buttons, and keep all the elements on the top. In Linux the legend is not fully displayed.
The ed2k link section could be improved with a placeholder in the textbox (it disappears when the user writes). Maybe we can change the "commit" label to make it more clear..
The columns in ed2k servers should resize to the content. The description column could have a max size just in case.
In shared files tab, the "show clients for" is using too much vertical space. IMHO removing the container will be better.
In the statistics window the legend should use all horizontal space to give more space to the graph. In this example, the 3 labels should be in 1 row. If the window is smaller, you can stack the legend in 1 or 2 columns.
In the preferences dialog. The OK / Cancel buttons looks weird. IMHO we should remove the container and align the buttons on the right.
In the about dialog:
- Change window title (make it a window instead of just a message).
- Make links clickable (In Linux I can copy the text, but in Windows I can't)
- Remove the Wiki link and add links to the documenttion and/or documentation FAQ (it will be finished this week) => https://amule-org.github.io/docs
- Update or remove contact information. I don't know if we still have access to the email. Maybe it's better just point to GitHub.
- Update Copyright year.
- Include aMule logo?
- An option to check for updates?
Check new version can not be called manually. A button in the about dialog or in preferences will be nice.
