The last statements pulled from the TDCJ website have typos, spelling errors, and strange formatting. These issues should be corrected in executions.json.
In some cases there's an opportunity to edit the last statements to more closely reflect the (assumed) intentions of the deceased, for example: Robert Black's requested poem could be placed into their last statement. Personal judgement will need to be used for these sorts of corrections, and care will need to be taken to not influence or change the perceived intent of the deceased.
