Create format to add different platforms

We need to create a format and plugin system so different platforms can be easily added to the project so it can pause videos on the platforms. E.g. Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube

So right now the project handles VLC and YouTube. They have to be included as different cumbersome methods in the code with the YouTube one including a dirty hack to make it work. In order for us to expand and included as many services on which we can use focusTV, we need to create a standard format and a plugin system to create small plugins that will be specific to each platform such as Netflix and all. These plugins will handle whatever is needed to do in order to stop the video on those platforms.

Okay , got it . But won't this come under browser extension category ? As these services are mostly used on browser not on seperate apps

So yeah exactly thats the reason I have opened multiple issues and now when all of you will have a look at them, after that we can discuss how we would like to proceed with the project. Should we create browser extensions or native plugins. Plus whatever we might decide, This issue will be actually relevant because we will still need to figure out the format to handle all those differences in those services and how to implement that. So lets wait till everyone gets on the same page and meet up on slack.
