[BUG] Installing update launches two versions of app

Describe the bug

After accepting the requested software update by the FV app, upon its restart two version of the app are opened. This happens on both my computers - a Mac Mini and Macbook Air. Both are on the latest version of MacOS (not beta), and this occurs on both computers.

Reproduction steps

1. Accepts pop up to install new version
2. Select ok after install
3. Two versions of app are automatically opened.

Expected behavior

Post install should not open two versions of the same app

Actual behavior

Two versions of the app are opened after installation.
