After 2FA verification user redirects back to homepage

When logging in to the CP, after the 2FA step the user is redirected back to the homepage

I've bumped into this myself when exposing 2FA to users on the frontend. From what I can tell, this behaviour is happening because the success case calls redirect()->intended(). I'm under the impression this is intended for use with middleware that have hijacked a post request, e.g. auth and verified on a post route. I believe the behaviour here is happening because the session variable it uses url.intended isn't set.

While probably not helpful for the case of the CP login, you can hack around this in other contexts by writing the URL you want to redirect to into the session key Laravel is using under the hood - url.intended. E.g.
